Political statement on the attacks by cops against exarchia square on 15/01

Today morning 15/01, around 00:30, a common operation by OPKE, DELTA and MAT took place on the square of exarchia, which the cops called the operation against drug dealers of exarchia square. While I was standing with some friends of main near the square of exarchia; OPKE, DELTA and MAT, closed the streets around the square and they started to chase the immigrants in the neighborhood, a few minutes later the square become empty of people. At this time, I started to shout on the cops: “get out from our neighborhood” “you all are bastard” “leave our neighborhood alone” and…, a few minutes later that I was screaming on the cops to leave the neighborhood, OPKE handcuffed me and a friend of main to their cars. We were taken by cops to the police station of exarchia. The friend of main was released after a few minutes but the cops asked me to come with them to another room to check more my documents at the computer. For a while, the cops were checking at the computer and having phone calls about me to somewhere, which between these conversation by phone and at office, the cops mentioned my presence in the trials of επαναστατικούς αγώνες and about the anti-terrorist raid in my house for the case of επαναστατική αυτοάμυνα that made the eyes of cops very threat full on me. At this moment, there was another phone call by cops to somewhere which was a very short call, and after this phone call, immediately they told me that I am free to go and I have to leave the police station right now

My solidarity to comrades of επαναστατική αυτοάμυνα, revolutionary comrades Pola Roupa and Nikos Maziotis will continues as my participation in Συνέλευση Αλληλεγγύης στα μέλη του Ε.Α., so I have to make it clear to the state, that putting more threat on me not only dose not stop me but it more proof to me that I am in the true way of struggle and this is my political standing according to the way of struggle that our revolutionary comrade Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis have done, which I respect him as a teacher and in my openion as a comrade who has done many difficult works to self-organized the immigrants in a true way of struggle

Revolutionary comrade Dimitris Chatzivasileiadis, could be a rich person and having a very easy life but he chosed to be a hard struggler and has a difficult life. All the time when there were more difficulty, he was stronger and more serious about what he was doing, which is a lesson for us

Exarchia, as an area with self-organized projects and revolutionary struggle, is under constant attack from the state because it is part of international social struggle against capitalism, mafia, state terrorism and generally the system. Exarchia is a zone of defense where different groups exist together to struggle for freedom and equality against the oppression of the system

This is very clear that at the moment, the situation of exarchia square, politically and materialistically is in a bad situation but in the same time, I believe that the presence of cops in our neighborhood for any reasons is not acceptable. Cops are our enemy and stranger for our neighborhood, so the problems of our neighborhood should be solved by us who are living here. These are the general reasons that why I even alone started to shout on the cops to leave the neighborhood

The way that cops behaves against immigrants on exarchia square, has a violence background which at the government of SYRIZA, we saw it too, the NEW DEMOCRACY government is the continuation of what SYRIZA was doing against immigrants and the spaces of struggle, in my opinion, practically there is no difference between SYRIZA and NEW DEMOCRACY, the only difference between them is the way that they say lies in the political propaganda

Immigrants are under constant attack from the state and facists and it does not matter what kind of goverment is in power, whether it is ultra-right or leftist goverment. SYRIZA presented themselves as supporters of immigrants but the reality was they imprisoned migrants on mass scale, every day they deported and killed people at the borders, exactly waht NEW DEMOCRACY is doing right now. We know that all authority is our enemy.
In Exarchia immigrants and the speaces of struggle are under increasing threat of repression. Recently more and more they began to make cops sweep operations on the square arresting any migrant that is there and the evictions of squats which began in the NEW DEMOCRACY goverment from 26 aug 2019, which created a few more military checkpoint in exarchia. At the same time there are groups in Exarchia who act like cops, using the same tactics, like pogroms on the square against migrants. Such as summer 2018, a group known as security team, military part of the political group “Antiauthoritarian Movement” (AK), who had relation with the government of SYRIZA and presented themselves as supporters of immigrants, but instead they used immigrants as a cover for their mafia business

It is clear that cops and mafia work together for the same purpose: control and the crushing of resistance
