Call to Protest the Oslo Meeting and the Presence of the Taliban and Their Lobbyists

With the Taliban’s return to power, many strategies of the world governments toward Afghanistan became more apparent to the people of Afghanistan and others around the world. Government policies have always been self-interested and exploitative, which we anarchists have correctly expressed in all our protests and political activities.
However, these policies have become much more reactionary now than in the past and increasingly more severe daily. Their multipolar game in the region, which resulted in the people of Afghanistan now living under the rule of terrorists who came to power with the cooperation of these same governments, is an example of these reactionary policies.

This issue is now one of the serious topics of debate among Afghanistan’s independent political and social activists; They have well understood that no government can be in solidarity with them and their favor. They have directly experienced this fact due to government policies affecting their lives.
Besides Afghanistan being beset by tragedies, they also see the efforts of world governments to keep the Taliban in control of Afghanistan; In the coming days, from June 13th to 15th, the Norway government is convening a meeting in Oslo, in which representatives of the Taliban’s foreign ministry and many of their regional lobbyists, such as the deputy foreign minister of Pakistan and their affiliated politicians in the West will participate.

This meeting can lead to an increase in the official relations of the Taliban with the world, in which case political and social activities will become very challenging for the independent opposition groups to the Taliban. The Western and Eastern governments have been in deep collaboration and relationship with the Taliban until now, all of which they do under the pretext of helping the people of Afghanistan. By convening such a meeting this time, they want to give a more favorable platform to their favorite organization in Afghanistan.

Thus, understanding the importance of such meetings and their destructive effect on the people of Afghanistan’s freedom, we, the members of the “Anarchist Union of Afghanistan and Iran,” call all anarchists in Norway and nearby countries, anarchists of Iran and Afghanistan, and any comrade able to be present in Norway to use their capabilities to hold protests and rallies against the Norwegian government.

The presence of anarchists and protesting the Norwegian government can be significantly impactful, as there is a strong possibility of gathering and demonstration of the social and political activists of Afghanistan who strongly criticize the Norwegian government due to the facilitation of the Taliban’s relations with different countries of the world.
