A SHAMEFUL PRISONER EXCHANGE BETWEEN THE RULING STATES IN SWEDEN AND IRAN!

Hamid Noury was arrested at Stockholm International Airport (Arlanda) in November 2019 and subsequently brought to trial in the Stockholm District Court. The trial involved about seventy eyewitnesses and the presentation of hundreds of authentic and indisputable documents. He was sentenced to life imprisonment, a verdict later upheld by the Appeal Court, for Crimes Against Humanity due to his active participation in the massacre of several thousand political prisoners in the summer of 1988 at Gohardasht Prison, west of Tehran.

Today, June 15, 2024, Hamid Noury, referred to as a cruel executioner, was released from a prison in Stockholm in exchange for a Swedish diplomat, Johan Floderus, and a Swedish-Iranian, Saeed Azizi.

There was no other expectation from the Swedish state or any other state. All capitalist states, driven by their exploitative interests—economic, political, and more—have always committed such shameful acts and continue to reward the ruling fascist Islamic state in Iran.

Nevertheless, the arrest and trial of Hamid Noury in Sweden was undoubtedly the right course of action and a significant victory for fair-minded people both inside and outside Iran. This trial revealed the true nature of the Mullahs and, in turn, exposed the hypocritical nature of the Swedish state to world opinion.
