PKK: “DO NOT LOOK FOR US IN THE MOUNTAINS; WE ARE EVERYWHERE”!

The social democrats ruling the government of Sweden responded to the request of the fascist government of Turkey and once again sold off the revolutionary movement of Rojava in Kurdistan (northern Syria) along with its fighters and defenders in a bid to join the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Since the formation of the “Social Democrats” (1889 AD) in Sweden, this is not the first time nor the last time that the “Social Democrats” have turned their backs on and betrayed the revolutionary movements of the working people. Their regressive economic-social-cultural policies during the previous several decades and their close association with the right-wing forces in the government and parliament have turned them into persistent and open defenders of the global capitalist-imperialist system. There are no longer any programs or signs of the formerly so-called “socialism and impartiality.” Therefore, the adoption of a fascist policy of joining “NATO” should not be considered surprising.

The “tactical opposition” of the fascist Turkey government with the request of Sweden to join NATO was a cunning extortion tactic to obtain more political security and economic-military benefits. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who dreams of a new Ottoman Empire, put Magdalena Andersson under political pressure with the threat of Turkey’s veto right as an obstacle preventing the Swedish state from joining NATO. It seems that he succeeded to make her submit to his fascist demands. Because Magdalena Andersson capitulated. However, will the large section of working people in Sweden’s stubborn resistance and fierce defense of the Kurdistan movement, especially the Rojava revolution in northern Syria, turn the sweet victory into a bitter poison in the throat of the corrupt and miserable governments of the ruling capitalist system in Europe, especially in Sweden and Turkey?

In her recent interview at the NATO summit in Madrid-Spain, after writing the “memorandum” with the representative of the Turkish government on June 28, 2022, Magdalena Andersson said, among other things: “Those who are not involved in terrorism don’t have to worry…” What she means by such hypocritical fallacies, the fake product of authoritarian rulers in all states regardless of color and form, is her government’s attempt to restrict people’s sociopolitical freedom and rights.

Magdalena Andersson is knowingly lying. She knows exactly that those who are and will be engaged in terrorist business are authoritarian governments like Erdogan’s fascist regime in Turkey and not the freedom fighters against that regime. Kurdistan and Rojava revolutionaries such as the People’s Defense Units (YPG) & Women’s Defense Units (YPJ) and other brave people who stubbornly and bravely defeated the “Islamic State/ISIS” in 2014, and managed to establish their democratic confederal self-management councils in the cantons of northern and eastern Syria. Until now, they have fiercely defended and protected this new and modern social-political achievement in the Middle East.

According to the latest media reports in Sweden (June 30), Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said that: “The Swedish government has promised to extradite 73 suspected criminals [read: Kurdish political activists living in Sweden] to Turkey”!
