Zainab Jalalian faces death treat

With follow up, let the struggle for her freedom begins

Zainab Jalalian is a political prisoner, who has been imprisoned for several years. She has been under pressure, with both physical and mental torture, and recently contracted Corona virus

Based on reports, especially, from her family, Zainab Jalalian, who is imprisoned in Gharchak prison in the city of waramin, after suffering from severe shortness of breath, was taken to a medical center and was diagnosed with Corona virus. This incident confirms all the warnings of political prisoners ‘advocates and human rights ‘activists around the world. It is been reported, that in many prisons in Iran, the political prisoners have contracted Corona virus, including Zaina Jalilian, who is infected as a result of the carelessness of the Iranian authorities

Zainab Jalilian is among those political prisoners, who have the heaviest sentences, which is life imprisonment. The Islamic Republic is directly responsible for her life

Zainab Jalilian has been imprisoned since November 2007 and several times, she has been transferred to different prisons

According to some theories by political and civil organizations, her transfer to Gharchak of waramin is for a particular purpose, which is to terminate her through contracting Corona virus

Zainab Jalilian has been imprisoned for more than 13 years and she has been deprived of the smallest facilities and rights, including a short leave

We, the political, social and cultural activists, whilst deeply concerned about the situation of Zainab Jalilian, as a political prisoner, we warn the leaders of the Islamic Republic, that the responsibility for her life, lies directly and entirely, with the government, its judiciary, intelligence services and prison apparatus

We call on all political prisoners’ advocates and human rights activists, to struggle for the
unconditional release of all political prisoners and ensuring to protect the health and life of Zainab Jalilian. We condemn the inhuman policies of the rulers of the Islamic Republic and demand to monitor the progress and spread of this terrible disease in Iranian prisons
