ABBAS DERRIS DEATH SENTENCE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED! (Updated Version)

According to the social media reports, 48-year-old Abbas Derris (Shalishat) and his 29-year-old brother Mohsen Derris was arrested on November 2019 for taking part in the nationwide protests in Khuzistan in western Iran. They are currently being held in Bandar Mashour Prison (Mahshahr) in Khuzistan Province.

Abbas has taken on the murder of a policeman named “Reza Sayyadi” in a forced TV confession under torture. Consequently, he was sentenced by the “Revolutionary Court” to death on charges of “War against God,” “Disruptive behavior against the public order,” and “Participation in the murder police.” It had been said that his sentence to be carried out on December 5, 2021, but it has been postponed so far.

According to the verdict of the “Mahshahr Revolution Court” on October 22, 2022, his brother Mohsen was acquitted of committing the ”crime”, but Abbas Derris’ death sentence has been confirmed, and he is now awaiting execution.
