“KHAVARAN” IS A PROOF OF THE CRIME BY THE SHIA ISLAMIC STATE IN IRAN!

The ruling fascist Shia Islamic State in Iran, since taking power in February 1979, began to create and develop step by step an atmosphere of terror in the name of the “revolution” against the individuals and groups who had been its political and conscientious dissidents in the society. By applying a religious-political Inquisition and shutting down all the scientific and educational institutions, the country was gradually drawn into a period of socio-political darkness and sorrow in Iran’s modern history, especially in the 1980s.

Since then, in addition to the oppression, torture, and murder of thousands of dissidents, young and old, in the streets, there have been two brutal genocides in prisons in the summers of 1981 and 1988. These can be called the Holocaust. The first killing in 1981 was aimed mostly against the communist and leftist organizations, and the second in 1988 was mostly aimed against the Shia Islamic ”People’s Mujahedin Organization of Iran” (Mojahedin Khalq) and other leftist organizations too, which is rarely mentioned by the opposition about the massacre 1981, unfortunately.

UN Security Council Resolution 598 on the ceasefire and the war between Khomeini in Iran and Saddam Hussein in Iraq was ended on July 18, 1987. And a year later, Ayatollah Khomeini was forced to accept this resolution, with the famous phrase: “I drink from this cup of poison.”

According to a vengeful and predetermined plan, on the one hand, out of anger over the defeat in the war and on the other hand to protect and save the Islamic system from the risk of collapse, Khomeini was looking for an opportunity to find a scapegoat.

On July 26, 1988, Mojahedin Khalq launched an invasion with the support of Saddam Hussein’s heavy military equipment against the Khomeini regime from the Iraqi eastern border. Now, because of this military attack, Khomeini launched his earlier plan of revenge and issued a fascist decree, which was following among other things:

“… DESTROY ALL ENEMIES OF THE ISLAMIC SYSTEM, BY ALL AVAILABLE FUNDS, IMMEDIATELY AND WITHOUT ANY MERCIFULNESS.”

On this basis, in the summer of 1988, a secret group called the “Death Committee” was formed with the participation of representatives from the Judiciary [Jafar Nayeri], the Prosecutor-General [Morteza Eshraqi], the Ministry of Intelligence & Security [Mostafa Pour-Mohammadi] and the current “President” EBRAHIM RAISI. Raisi was Deputy Prosecutor General of Tehran at the time, who played a key role in this massacre.

To group and clarify the status of political prisoners, they must answer some “simple” questions at “Death Committee” ‘s sessions:

   – Do you pray to God?

   – Do you accept the Islamic system?

   – Do you still insist on standing on your political stance?

And other similar questions.

Based on each prisoner’s response, the “Death Committee” was able to classify them into different groups pending execution, resulting in the smallest number has been estimated at five thousand executed and missing political prisoners in the summer of 1988. Many of those killed were buried in secret cemeteries, one of which is the “Khavaran Cemetery,” located in southeastern Tehran. The Iranian justice movement is called this cemetery for “Khavaran Flower Garden.” And this is one of the important and undeniable evidence against the ruling Shia Islamic State in Iran.

Still, after thirty-three years, all aspects of this great crime committed by the ruling Islamic State in Iran have been unspoken about these brutal genocides, regardless of the regime’s political form, whether fundamentalist or reformist. The agents of the ruling capitalist global system, because of their interests in cooperation and harmony with the capitalist state in Iran, continue in an inhuman silence about this catastrophe to keep their political-economic relations.

Hamid Nouri (known as Abbasi), born in 1961, was arrested on November 9, 2019, at Arlanda International Airport in northern Stockholm, Sweden. He is one of the perpetrators of the classification of political prisoners for torture and the execution of massacres in the Gohar-Dasht Prison in Karaj, located in western Tehran, Iran. He worked at that time as an assistant prosecutor under the direct supervision of the “Death Committee.”

Now, fortunately, Hamid Nouri will be brought to prosecution before the Stockholm Criminal Court on August 10, 2021, accused of “war crime against humanity” and “premeditated murder.” He must be held accountable for his barbaric behavior in the summer of 1988.
